20th Century Illuminations The Illuminated Manuscripts of Amy Fagin

The illuminated ketubot of artist Amy Fagin are a contemporary example of one of the oldest ritual art objects celebrated by Jewish people world wide. The laws governing the ketubah are specified in the Talmud. The text of the contract has been adapted by Jewish communities while remaining in accordance with ancient customs and traditions of earliest practices. Decoration of the ketubah reflects the rich diversity of Jewish culture throughout history. Our illuminated ketubot are available as limited edition archival digital reproductions, lithographs and one of a kind
original commissions.

This series of contemporary illuminated manuscripts explores regions of the
world where genocide and mass annihilation have been perpetrated.
25 large scale atrocities have been chosen for illumination. Looking into and beyond the atrocities, the series depicts and interprets the legacies of these victims for all to behold. Traveling world wide, this exhibition is available for your community.
