The workshop selections can be customized for a 1.5 hour - full day session with the artist. Sessions are suitable for an audience of up to 40 participants.  Docent style lectures can also be arranged.

Workshops are divided into 4 sessions:

Session 1. Geography Introduction

Session one is a survey introduction to "Beyond Genocide" and geography overview where participants are given preliminary information about the geographical location of the researched region. This program is designed as an interactive event.

Session 2. "Beyond Genocide Pursuit" Fact Finding Exercise.

The second session is an interactive fact finding session which covers relevant informational highlights about the victimized civilization to enrich knowledge about the legacy of the specific atrocity in question. Working with the illuminations, participants must match a fact (provided) to the civilization / atrocity. Participants must explore each illumination and look for clues which would provide insight into the factual detail and the historical component of the artwork. A detailed description of the fact is then read to the group by the “owner” of the fact.

Session 3.  Art Interpretation

This session organizes the class into groups of 4 or 5 for interpretative art analysis. The small groups are asked to select one "source quote" either individually or as a group, discuss this with their peers in a 15 minute - 1/2 hour discussion their interpretation of how the selected quote is related to the illumination. Presentation of the interpretations are hosted by a speaker for the group in a 5-10 minute presentation.

Session 4. Mandala for Peace Painting (for young audiences only)

This session invites groups of 2 to 4 participants to paint with markers a "color your own" mandala (20 x 20). Mandala making workshops are suitable for younger audiences. A brief history of mandala making is introduced, and students are instructed to work in groups of four to complete an outlined mandala as a tribute to genocide victims worldwide
